ROMULUS, MI, August 5, 2009 - RKA Petroleum, LLC, a division of privately owned RKA Petroleum Companies (“RKA”), has entered into an agreement to sell its Romulus based refined products terminal to Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P. (NYSE:SXL).

While RKA will maintain its presence at the terminal as a long-term position holder, the sale of the terminal will enable the company to focus on growing its core petroleum marketing and distribution businesses.  The sale of the terminal to Sunoco Logistics will provide RKA with the opportunity to build its relationship with an industry leader with refined product terminals in Southeastern Michigan as well as other key markets throughout the Northeastern and Midwestern United States.

RKA Petroleum Companies is certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council as a Women Owned Business and by the National Biodiesel Board as a Certified BQ9000 Marketer.
